WhatsApp down is not working? Users report outages in the US and a few other countries. Numerous countries, including Brazil and India, as well as users in the United States, are reporting problems with WhatsApp, which is currently experiencing a global outage. Over 10,000 incidents were reported on DownDetector on Wednesday morning, April 3. #WhatsApp and #WhatsAppDown become popular on X, formerly Twitter, as users swarm to the platform in droves as thousands of people still experience problems.

The official X, formerly Twitter account, for WhatsApp tweeted, “We know some people are experiencing issues right now; we are working on getting things back to 100% for everyone as quickly as possible,” in response to the surge in users experiencing outages at around 3 p.m.

According to Downdetector data, over 20,000 users in India, roughly 46,000 users in the UK, and over 42,000 users in Brazil have also reported issues with the platform. Around 4,800 Americans experienced problems with Instagram as well, according to Downdetector.”
Users of Facebook and Instagram also report problems
DownDetector also received numerous reports about other Meta-owned social media services, such as Facebook and Instagram. In a tweet, Netblocks stated, “International outages are currently affecting image and media uploads on meta platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp; this is not related to country-level internet disruptions or filtering.”
Statement on meta-issues following global outage
On the Meta Status service page, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, Meta, stated, “We are currently experiencing an outage impacting service on Cloud API.” On March 4, 2024, at 11:10 AM PST, this problem began. Our technical teams are looking into the problem. Another update will be given in four hours, or sooner if more information becomes available.”
Thanks to users, X (formerly known as Twitter) is overrun with memes.
On the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, users responded to the global outage with hilarious memes and reactions. “Absolutely Nobody: Meta users are racing to Twitter to Confirm whether WhatsApp is down,” one user commented. “Everyone is running to Twitter X as in an earthquake when #WhatsApp goes down,” another person remarked.
