Fans eagerly awaited the match between the two superstars of the Indian cricket team, but in the end, it was the fast bowler who emerged victorious. After a shaky start to his innings, the fast bowler struck him with a sharp in-swinger that Kohli was unable to respond to. Kohli was struggling as the ball was pitched just short of a good length and shaped back quickly. After the star batsman gained a clear inside edge on the ball, Ishan Kishan made a diving catch behind the stumps, ending the batsman’s three-minute stay at the crease.

Shreyas Gopal took Jasprit Bumrah’s spot in the starting lineup, the only alteration made by the hosts. Despite not being included in the playing XI, MI’s explosive batter, Suryakumar Yadav, is expected to be his team’s impact player, given that MI will bat second in the match.
However, RCB made three changes to their lineup, including the return of Vijaykumar Vyshak and Mahipal Lomror to the playing XI and the debut of Will Jacks for the team.
