In the upcoming polls, Mayawati’s Party will field the father of an AAP MLA from Ferozepur.
The father of Punjab AAP MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy was announced by the Bahujan Samaj Party on Monday as their candidate for the Ferozepur Lok Sabha seat.
Surinder Kamboj, the father of the Jalalabad MLA, joined the Mayawati-led party on Saturday. In February, the BSP declared it would run independently in the parliamentary elections, severing its ties with the Shiromani Akali Dal.

Randhir Singh Beniwal, the BSP’s leader for Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh, announced that Kamboj from Ferozepur would be fielded.
According to Randhir Beniwal, the party will soon announce its nominees for Punjab’s remaining seats. Prior to now, the BSP declared its intention to run for the Lok Sabha seat from Hoshiarpur.
On June 1, Punjab’s 13 Lok Sabha seats will go to polls.
In 2022, the SAD and the BSP jointly stood in the Punjab assembly elections.
