A picture of singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh with a woman that many believed to be his wife went viral after his friend claimed that the singer is married and has a child.
As it happens, Diljit Dosanjh’s wife is not the woman in the widely shared picture. The picture mentioned above is from a photo shoot she did with the singer a few years ago; she is actually a model. In a Reddit discussion that BollyBlindsNGossip posted,
She made it clear that she is not Diljit is spouse. “The woman identified in the online photo belonging to Diljit is spouse is not Sandeep Kaur. The title of the thread is “It is me.”
“Hello friends,” read the opening line of the Reddit post. I was a model for a while and participated in the Shoon Shaan music video shoot for the Diljit Dosanjh film Mukhtiar Chadha. Since then, friends and family have informed me in one way or another that my picture is being maliciously used online as “Diljit Dosanjh’s wife.” Since I had no idea how this had occurred, I initially laughed it off. I did make some takedown requests on Quora and YouTube, though. I never imagined the image would endure for as long as it did.”

“This news keeps going viral every now and then, and here we are again with my image being used on a lot of TikToks and Instagram posts recently,” she continued in the post. I just want to be clear that I am not Sandeep Kaur; this is me in the photo. I want to stop doing this to myself. Please do me a favor and let the public know that this is not his wife if you see this image in the wild by reporting it or leaving a comment. I am not searching for celebrity on the Internet or anything similar. I sincerely appreciate your support, everyone.”
