Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Live: On Monday night, the BJP-led NDA announced seat-sharing arrangements in Bihar with the BJP contesting 17 seats and the JD(U) contesting 16 seats. LJP, HAM and RLP will contest 5, 1 and 1 seats respectively.
Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chowdhury said that the list of candidates will be announced soon. Meanwhile, the BJP has launched its ‘Pehle Vot Modi Ko Campaign’ for first-time voters, urging them to register themselves and pledge their support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third term.
In another major development, the EC removed the home secretaries of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and ordered the removal of West Bengal DGP Rajeev Kumar. On the other hand, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has announced that his party will contest the Lok Sabha elections on their symbol.
