One of the funniest figures in Indian history is none other than former all-rounder and head coach Ravi Shastri. Following his retirement from playing cricket, Shastri became a commentator and led the Indian national men’s cricket team to success. Shastri, who is currently covering the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 as a pundit and analyst, posted a clever remark on social media on Wednesday that quickly went viral.

Shastri wrote, “I am a hottie, I am naughty, and I am sixty.”. The context of the post is still unknown. Shastri may have enrolled in an advertising campaign, which could be the reason.

Shastri is a well-known figure, but he has also expressed his views publicly regarding the ongoing IPL in 2024. Shasrti has discussed the scandal involving Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya in an open manner. The former India coach recently offered advice to Hardik, advising him on how to handle pressure to be the team’s captain as well as his personal form.

“Calm, patient, ignore, and then just concentrate on your game would be my advice to Hardik. After they put on a few strong performances—they are a fantastic team—everything will fade if they win three or four games. Things will change, and you will,” he continued.

Regarding the dismissal of Rohit Sharma as captain of MI, Shastri stated that the team’s objectives are paramount.

“You see, this is not really an Indian cricket team that is competing here. This is cricket as a franchise. They are the bosses and have paid top dollar. They have the right to designate whoever they like as captain,” Shastri declared.

Shastri did, however, acknowledge that the Mumbai Indians’ management could have handled the situation more skillfully.

“I believe that better handling of this would have involved increased communication clarity. We are doing an amazing job, as everyone knows, and we want him to support Hardik in the next three years as the team progresses. If you were interested in becoming captain, you could say that you were looking to the future and building. For all of this to stop, there ought to have been a little more communication. He continued, “It is not like you are saying, ‘We do not want Rohit Sharma,’ or that he was mistreated.

Shastri responded to hate speech directed at Hardik by saying, “You know social media. There is a lot of bullshit out there, so all kinds of things will come out. There are some fake stories online. It is merely grafted onto the names of others. Being ignorant is bliss.
