According to a number of media reports, Urfi was imprisoned in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in 2023 for filming in a public place while wearing provocative clothing, which is against UAE law. 1. Urfi revealed in multiple articles published in February 2022 that casting director Obed Afridi had not paid her dues. 2. In March 2023 Urfi Javed received an invitation to a news agency in Mumbai. When the actress arrived, the security guard denied her entry into the building. She later posted an explanation of the incident on social media and voiced her disapproval of what had transpired.

3. Speaking at a literary event sponsored by a media outlet in November 2022, Chetan Bhagat mentioned Urfi Javed when asserting that young people were spending a lot of time on Instagram. He said: “Young people, particularly boys, have discovered that their phones can be a great source of distraction; they can spend hours just scrolling through Instagram Reels. Everybody knows who Urfi Javed is. How are you going to use her photos? Will it impact your test scores, or will you pretend to know the interviewer’s outfit when you attend a job interview? While one young person is in Kargil protecting our nation, another young person hides under their covers after viewing images of Uorfi Javed. Subsequently, Urfi Javed attacked the author in a post on Instagram and in a letter. “Men such as him will never own up to their mistakes; instead, they will constantly place the blame on the women. All of you sickos out there must cease endorsing the culture of rape. Mr. Chetan Bhagat, you are so 80s that you are blaming men’s behavior for what women wear.”
