With the 1993 film Baazigar, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty made a promising debut that instantly catapulted her to stardom. Even though her character dies before the intermission, the audience was drawn to her because of the shock value that gave her character more depth. When she got the role in the movie Baazigar, she was only 17. The 48-year-old actress, who is also well-known for being a fitness fanatic, discussed the challenges she encountered early in her career in a Humans Of Bombay post published five years ago. Shilpa claimed that she was unintentionally introduced to the world of glamour. She intended to push herself beyond her comfort zone by taking part in a fashion show purely for fun. On the other hand, the pictures turned out really well and gave her access to modeling jobs. She soon received an offer for her first movie, but the language barrier arose because she was not a native Hindi speaker. The idea of facing the camera also terrified her.

She talked about how, after starring in several movies, her career reached a stalemate at one point. “I always felt like I was falling behind, even with my best efforts. “It is difficult to go from receiving praise to being ignored all of a sudden,” she said, recalling instances in which she had been abruptly and unexplainably cast out of movies. “I have had producers cut me off from projects without giving me a reason. Even though it seemed like the odds were against me, I persisted in moving forward,” Shilpa Shetty thought.

Shilpa Shetty also discussed the mental and emotional strain she experienced while working on the British television reality series Big Brother. She had experienced a great deal of racism in the home and had sometimes been brought to tears.

“On the basis of my nationality alone, I experienced discrimination and bullying in public. It was a difficult period; I felt very alone in that setting,” she said, going on to say: “But I persisted.” Having come this far, I could not afford to give up. “You have made us proud,” people said to me after I eventually succeeded. That is when I realized that all of the difficulties and persistence had been well worth it.”

In terms of her private life, Shilpa Shetty is wed to businessman Raj Kundra. They are parents to two kids, Shamisha and Viaan. She owns opulent homes, including a Rs 100 crore seaside bungalow. She owns a private jet as well.
