Reviews of Kunal Kemmu’s Madgaon Express, his directorial debut, have been positive. With Avinash Tiwary, Pratik Gandhi, and Divyenndu in the key parts, this comedy film is a hit with both reviewers and viewers. The director has now explained why he gave the movie the name Madgaon Express in an interview. “I wanted to call it Madgaon Express because I like the whole idea,” the actor-director remarked. I intended for the movie’s climax to take place aboard a train. I had no idea how I would pull it off, but I really wanted to maintain the train as a central character in the movie. That was simply the main concept. When I finally got around to writing it, the most crucial thing was to figure out who these three friends were, what their friendship was all about, and how they returned and continued where they had left off.”

Kunal Kemmu also posted a note of gratitude a few days ago, acknowledging all the love that is being showered upon him. Kunal Kemmu shared multiple behind-the-scenes photos of himself with the cast of his movie on social media, writing, “From the first day of filming to the day I said the last pack up on the Madgaon Express sets.” Each day has been so special in so many ways. And I couldn’t have done it without my amazing team of actors and technicians. To the many colours of friendship that the film showcases and the many colours of my own personality that I got to explore through this film. I wish you all a very happy Holi and thank you so much for all the love that you have shown to our film. May this festival of colours bring you all happiness and good luck.”

“Madcap Express is a possible title for the movie. Madgaon Express, the directorial debut of actor Kunal Kemmu, is a crazy and absurd comedy of errors that hardly ever stops to relax. The film alternates fluidly and endlessly between sparkling silver-tongued wit and slapstick, making it deliriously funny. They gave it a solid three out of five stars. “Born in an era of overwhelming cynicism and emerging from a bloated movie industry that has all but forgotten the art of genuine humour, the bro-mantic laugh riot, written by the director himself, is a free-flowing blend of Go Goa Gone and Dil Chahta Hai while steadfastly being its own beast.”
